Welcome to the Sun Safe Kids Website, the aim of this website is to increase the awareness of the importance of sun safety and what kids can do to increase the chances of protecting themselves, their friends and their families from skin cancer.
Every year thousands of people sufer and die from skin cancer and leave behind devastated friends and families . Many of these deaths could be avoided if sun awareness practices where put into place.
In Australia alone over 1700 people will die each year and current statistics show 2 in 3 people will be diagnosed with some form of skin cancer by the age of 70.
People of all ages and skin type can get skin cancer, with incresing occurances in young people every year.
